The license agreement between KIA Corporation and Orbis Kazakhstan was signed in 2021, construction began in January 2022, and in May the plant began producing the first models. Industrial assembly is carried out at the plant, which is welding of body components, full body painting, assembly of parts, assemblies, aggregates and interior elements. The production line itself was built by a Korean equipment supplier and complies with international automotive standards. The process of launching the line was led by engineers and experts of KIA Corporation, they will also carry out further support and control of production.
